Abu Dhabi-based CNTXT AI, founded in 2024, has announced plans to open a network of robotics-data facilities across the UAE, with the first site set to begin operations in November 2026. A sister facility in Amman, Jordan, is expected to follow by the end of the same month, according to co-founder and chief executive Mohammad Abu Sheikh.
The facilities will span roughly 30,000 square feet combined across Dubai and Abu Dhabi and are designed to generate and process the data needed to train physical AI and robotics models. The company said it plans to invest up to $50 million in the hardware and infrastructure behind the project.
CNTXT AI previously built Munsit, an Arabic-language AI model trained on more than 30,000 hours of recorded Arabic speech, and is now extending that data-collection approach into robotics. The company says it has already secured committed contracts worth more than $300 million.
Beyond its Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman sites, CNTXT AI also plans to open a new office in San Francisco soon to strengthen its presence in the US market. Abu Sheikh described the expansion as part of a broader push by the UAE to position itself as a regional hub for data and physical AI, a field that is becoming increasingly competitive among Gulf states.
The announcement comes shortly after Dubai set new targets for its AI campus, aiming to attract more than 1,000 companies by 2030.
